About us

From founders
For founders

As founders ourselves, we are intimately familiar with the challenges of entrepreneurship and the mental and physical toll that building a company takes.

We know how hard it is to juggle company building, relationships, physical exercise, fun and balance and how lonely the entrepreneurial journey can be.

We firmly believe that entrepreneurial success is intertwined with the strength of your network and the well-being of your mind and body.

Understanding this, we have always been looking for more opportunities to be active, connect with like-minded founders and try to have more balance and fun on this crazy entrepreneurial journey.

The problem is, we haven’t been able to find a founder’s club that combines networking & community with sports, fitness & wellness.

So we started this club, community and platform we wished existed when we were running our first business.

With Captain Athletic Club, we are not only scratching our own itch, but we know the impact we can create when it comes to founder wellness and entrepreneurial success.

We are founders, entrepreneurs, high-performers and difference-makers.

We are interested in meeting like-minded founders to connect and to support each other.

We are sports enthusiasts and passionate about
health, fitness
and wellness.

Our Mission

Our mission is to host hundreds of events and activities worldwide every year and help thousands of founders connect with each other, have fun and stay active.

 Our Manifesto

At Captain Athletic Club, we believe in the power of community.

We are more than just an athletic club; we are a tribe of founders united by our passion for sports, wellness, and entrepreneurship. Our manifesto embodies our purpose, our mission, our values, and our commitment to each other:

  • We stand beside those who have the courage to venture into the unknown, who dare to disrupt the status quo, and who are committed to making a positive impact on the world.

  • We believe in the power of connection to fuel creativity, innovation, and collaboration. Through regular events, activities, and gatherings, we forge meaningful connections with like-minded entrepreneurs who share our passion for sports, fitness and wellness.

  • We understand that our physical and mental well-being are essential for success. We prioritize self-care and make time for sports, fitness, and mindfulness. By taking care of ourselves, we are better equipped to tackle the storms on the entrepreneurial journey.

  • Challenges are opportunities for growth and building resilience. We tackle challenges head-on, knowing that they make us stronger and more resilient entrepreneurs.

  • We believe in hard work, but we also know that life is meant to be enjoyed, and the entrepreneurial journey should be fun. We infuse joy, laughter, and playfulness into everything we do, creating an uplifting and energizing atmosphere for our members.

  • We are a supportive community where every member has each other's back. Whether it's cheering each other on during our sports events or offering encouragement during tough times, we lift each other up.

  • As leaders in our respective fields, we lead by example and inspire others through our actions. As role models for a healthy lifestyle, we prioritize holistic wellness in our own lives and encourage others to do the same.

  • We are dreamers, visionaries, and changemakers. We dare to dream big and refuse to settle for mediocrity. We believe that anything is possible when we set our minds to it.

  • We welcome founders from all backgrounds, industries, and levels of experience. We celebrate diversity and embrace the unique perspectives and insights that each member brings to our community.

We Are Captain Athletic Club.

The problems founders face today

Burn out

Stress

Anxiety

Health issues

Loneliness

Burn out • Stress • Anxiety • Health issues • Loneliness •

Running a company is stressful. As founders and leaders we are easily trapped in an "always on - always working" mentality, skipping opportunities for breaks, fun and connection and with little emphasis on fitness and health. The lack of self-care, exercise and relaxation is the cause for an increased risk for physical and mental health issues and is leading one in two founders to burn-out at some point during their entrepreneurial journey.

Particularly in early stages and especially as a solo founder, entrepreneurship can be incredibly lonely. Not only because we tend to work long hours, often times alone, but also because we feel unsupported or isolated in taking a nontraditional path, with many of our family members and friends not understanding our situation and challenges. This self-isolation is a precursor of depression and is contributing to the potential of mental health issues.

Success as an entrepreneur is directly related to the strength of your relationships and your physical and mental well-being.

If you are ill or if you hit a mental or physical wall, there is no replacement. The result can be temporarily or critically devastating for your business.

Your ability to perform and compete in high-pressure environments is contingent upon how you feel. Having a fit body and a healthy mind helps you navigate obstacles and reach goals effectively and efficiently.

We are the people,
club and community
keeping entrepreneurs
active and connected.

Regular participation in sport and physical activities provides various social and health benefits.

Not only does it have a direct impact on physical fitness, but studies conducted by the World Health Organization have also highlighted that physical exercise can stimulate positive mental health.

Living an active life has been linked to improvements in self-esteem and self-confidence, as well as positive effects for people struggling with depression and anxiety.

Incorporating wellness activities into your weekly schedule reduces stress, provides balance, leads to better sleep, lifts up your mood, gives you energy and higher productivity, it can improve your relationships and lead to personal and professional success.

See if you’re a fit for our community of
like-minded founders and sports enthusiasts.
